TOP224YN AC-DC CONVERTER, -40 TO 150°C ​

The TOP224YN is a TOPSwitch-II offline PWM switch with three second generation terminals in a 3-pin TO-220 package. It is a switching solution with the lowest cost and the fewest number of components. There have been significant improvements to the circuitry that reduce sensitivity to plate layout and line transients, making design easier. The TOPSwitch-II family is more affordable and provides several improvements compared to the first generation TOPSwitch family. It incorporates all the functions necessary for a switched mode control system in a three-terminal monolithic integrated circuit. The TOP224YN device has built-in automatic reset and current limiting functions. It works with primary feedback or optocoupler. The simplicity of the circuit and design tools reduces time to market. This PWM switch implements flyback, direct, boost or buck topologies. It integrates a high-voltage power MOSFET, PWM control, fault protection and other control circuitry on a single CMOS chip.
